IMPORTANT TIP

Dear participants,

In the name of giving you an incentive to take a keen interest in current affairs, one sub-round in each match contested in the Junior University Challenge will be on current affairs! This encompasses:

a) Events that occur throughout the entire month of April / May
b) Noteworthy events that have occurred in 2014 / 2015 (Such as the MH370 or German airplane crash, Scottish secession etc)
c) Things that you'd know from reading news from reputable news sources (e.g. BBC, The Star, The Economist etc)

We'd like to highlight that you have to make an effort to keep abreast of happenings not just in Malaysia but around the world!

This means that you'll have to do a little research in order to keep your finger on the world's pulse and make yourself an informed global citizen!

You have been notified.
